Easy Air Fryer Pork Chops and green beans - a simple, healthful low-carb dinner recipe, ready in a flash!

Oh hey, pork lovers, have I got a treat for you?!

The BEST pork chops made in mere minutes in the air fryer!

I confessed in my Creamy Crock Pot Pork Chops With Potatoes and Mushrooms that I am pretty picky about my pork.

It simply must be magically tender, am I right?!

Well, cooking pork in the air fryer is incredibly easy as it turns out, and youโ€™re guaranteed that tender deliciousness.

Plus, this recipe is perfect for folks who donโ€™t have a lot of experience pan-frying meat.

Air frying pork chops takes all the guesswork out of the process. The end result is perfectly crispy on the outside, with a nice juicy tender inside.

Just the way a perfect pork chop should be!

As long as you check the internal temperature of the pork using a thermometer, you donโ€™t need to worry about undercooking or overcooking the meat.

While I go for bone-in pork chops, you can just as easily use boneless pork chops.

Boneless pork chops in the air fryer require a little less time, and youโ€™ll need 10 minutes of cooking time instead of 12.

Because I care about your vegetable intake, I also threw in the how to for air fryer green beans. This way, you get a complete meal and all of it is made in the air fryer for easy prep and cleanup.

As an alternative to the green beans, you can also make my Air Fryer Garlic Butter Brussel Sprouts.

Letโ€™s discuss the ingredients for air fryer pork chops.

What Spices to Use for Pork Chops?:

Iโ€™ve found taking a simple approach by using sea salt, paprika, and garlic powder is a goof-proof method to achieve incredible results.

In fact, I use this combination for my Crispy Air Fryer Salmon and my Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Thighs

This simple dry rub goes on in seconds and eliminates so much guesswork, as it is so delicious every single time! No marinating necessary!

I also enjoy using onion powder, but it isnโ€™t mandatory. You can easily go for a pre-made blend such as Cajun seasoning or any pork, chicken or beef seasoning you like.

To summarize, the ingredients I use for pork chops made in the air fryer are remarkably simple. Bone-in (or boneless) pork chops, avocado oil, sea salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

BOOM! Instant gratification dinner for all those times youโ€™re needing to be fed but donโ€™t want to spend a lot of time cooking.

Letโ€™s do it!

How to Cook Pork Chops in Air Fryer:

Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.

Pat both sides of the pork chops with a paper towel to absorb any excess moisture.

Coat the pork chops in avocado oil (or cooking oil of choice), then sprinkle liberally with sea salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Sprinkle the pork chops with seasonings

Place the pork chops in the air fryer, ideally such that they are not touching (no huge deal if they are. Just be sure they arenโ€™t overlapping).

Place the pork chops in the air fryer

Air fry at 400 degrees for 6 minutes, flip, then air fry for an additional 6 minutes or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 150 degrees F. Note: if youโ€™re using boneless pork chops, air fry at 400 for 10 minutes).

Air fry at 400 degrees for 6 minutes, flip, then air fry for an additional 6 minutes

Immediately remove the pork chops from the air fryer and set them on a plate to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

How to Cook Green Beans in Air Fryer:

If youโ€™re making green beans to go along with the pork chops, hereโ€™s what you do!

Chop the ends off of the green beans, then toss them in a bowl with avocado oil (or cooking oil of choice), sea salt, and garlic powder.

Toss the green beans in olive oil, sea salt, and garlic powder

Air fry green beans at 400 degrees F for 5 to 10 minutes (depending on your preference). I find 6 to 7 minutes to be perfect for me, where the green beans have softened and are beginning to turn golden-brown but are still al dente.

How Long To Cook Pork Chops in Air Fryer:

For bone-in pork chops, 12 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, flipping halfway through, or until the pork chop reaches an internal temperature of 150 degrees F.

For boneless pork chops, air fry for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F. Thereโ€™s no need to flip halfway through, but you certainly can if youโ€™d like!

Do note that pork chops vary in thickness, so you may need to adjust the time accordingly.

At What Temperature is Pork Fully Cooked?

Wondering what temperature pork needs to be in order to be fully cooked? Hot topic.

Pork chops are cooked through when they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F according to the National Pork Board https://www.pork.org/pork-cooking-temperature/.

It used to be that pork was considered fully cooked when it reached 160, but after years and years of folks eating tough, overcooked pork, and countless experiments, it was determined that 145 degrees F is not only safe for consumption but results in the best flavor and texture.

If youโ€™re at all concerned about the doneness, cook the pork chops until they reach 160. I call out 150 in the recipe just to play it extra safe.

Tips For The BEST Crispy Pork Chops:

If youโ€™re looking to achieve that amazing crispy texture that you get from pan-fried pork, hereโ€™s what you do! 1.) Coat with oil, and 2.) Donโ€™t skimp on the seasoning!

As long as you give the pork chops a good coat of oil and then sprinkle both sides with plenty of seasoning (paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder), youโ€™ll achieve a lovely crust, almost as though the pork is breaded.

Plus, it will be incredibly flavorful!

So donโ€™t be afraid to be heavy handed with the seasonings, but obviously salt the pork according to your personal taste.

The end result will be amazingly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside pork. A dinner for the history books!
