Just be sure to use very ripe bananas for the sweetest result! You want them to have a lot of brown spots.
Simply peel and freeze your bananas so that youโre ready to make banana ice cream at a momentโs notice!

How to Make Chocolate Banana Ice Cream:
If you havenโt already, freeze your ripe bananas in a plastic bag (without the peels). I simply peel mine, break them in half, then freeze them. Some people like to chop the bananas into smaller chunks to get them to blend easier. This is definitely an option if youโd like!
Add everything to a high-powered blender or food processor and secure the lid.
First blend on a lower speed to get everything to chop up and then blend on a high (to highest) speed, using your tamper (if you have a blender) to help mash everything to the blade for easy blending. Do this until the chocolate ice cream is completely combined, creamy, and there are no more chunks of banana. If need be, stop the blender or food processor to scrape the sides before you continue blending.
Either serve immediately for soft serve consistency or transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze until completely set up.
When youโre ready to enjoy the ice cream, thaw it for a couple of minutes, scoop, and enjoy!
