Maple Glazed Baked Salmon makes for a nutritious, quick and easy healthy dinner recipe! Only a few basic ingredients are needed to make this sweet and crispy salmon come to life! Serve it to friends and family for a lovely evening in.
For me, the fall is all about fuzzy socks, oversized sweaters, and maple EVERYTHING!
In fact, fall is what inspired me to make this maple-glazed salmon recipe.
I receive a great amount of enjoyment out of combining sweet and savory flavors to create ultra palatable meals, and this easy dinner recipe is exactly that – scrumptious!
The salmon turns out nice and crispy, yet moist and tender, with a nice balance of herby, savory flavors with that delectable maple glaze.
The best part? Itโs quick and easy to prepare, yet appears fancy!
If you tried my Crispy Honey-Glazed Salmon Recipe from a few years ago, youโll absolutely love the maple version just as much!
Ingredients For Maple Glazed Baked Salmon:
Salmon: Salmon is packed with protein and healthy omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for brain and hormone health and are also amazing for healing your gut lining. Omega-3s are very important to your overall health!
I eat seafood every week in addition to taking an Omega-3 supplement to ensure my needs are being met. If you arenโt a fan of salmon, you can swap it for halibut or cod. I go with King salmon, but you can also do coho, sockeye, or trout.
Spices: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, sea salt. I find this combination makes an AMAZING dry rub for any type of animal protein.
I use it on everything! If you follow a Low-FODMAP diet, omit the garlic powder and onion powder. You can either replace them with something else or leave the recipe as is…it is plenty flavorful without!
Coconut Sugar: In addition to pure maple syrup, I use coconut sugar to generate sweetness and also form the crispy outer layer. I sprinkle it on at the same time as the spices. If you donโt have coconut sugar on hand, you can use brown sugar or skip it!
Pure Maple Syrup: The star of the show here! The simple addition of pure maple syrup at the end of baking results in a lovely glaze that requires so very little effort. A simple drizzle leaves you with a nice finishing touch.
How to Make Maple Glazed Salmon:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and pour a small amount of avocado oil (or high-temp cooking oil of choice) in the bottom of a casserole dish (or spray with cooking oil). Spread it around with your fingers so that the salmon doesnโt stick to the casserole dish while baking.
Place the salmon fillets in the casserole dish and brush with avocado oil. Sprinkle with paprika, sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and coconut sugar.
Bake on the center rack of the oven for 15 to 20 minutes (depending on the thickness of the fish).
Remove the salmon from the oven and change the oven setting to high broil.
Brush the fish with pure maple syrup (or pour it over the fish) and place on the second to the top rack under the broiler. Broil 3 to 5 minutes, until salmon is crispy and glazed.
Spoon any pure maple syrup from the bottom of the dish over the salmon and serve with choice of side dishes. I love salmon with Stir Fry Vegetables or Roasted Vegetables.

Would this work served cold, I have a party of 20 for a wedding shower, and am doing buffet style , this would suit the vegetarians.
thanks!!
Hi Judy! While the recipe can definitely be served cold, I would caution that you make sure the salmon doesn’t stay out at room temperature for too long for food safety purposes ๐ As a side note, the salmon won’t work for vegetarians but I do have an archive of vegetarian recipes that may be useful. xo
Great recipe! This was so tasty and easy.
Wahoo! Isn’t it a fun one? I like the nice sweet-savory changeup. Thanks for the sweet note, lady! xoxo
