I try to maintain a no-waste kitchen, and Iโm a HUGE proponent of re-purposing leftovers in creative ways. We all know, there are only so many times we can roll stuffing up in sliced turkey and call it lunch. I totally understand that I may be the only person on the planet who eats cranberry sauce plain, but I get that other most other folks aren’t that adamant about doing the same. Ergo, we need places to put said leftover turkey and cranberry sauceโฆ.and mashed potatoes, pumpkin, and stuffing.
If you have never made turkey stock out of your turkey carcass, I HIGHLY suggest you do! You can freeze the stock for later if you donโt want to use it right away. Thereโs no end to what you can do with all that food.
We can be thankful for our ability to feast as well as our ability to be resourceful, not wasteful.
Letโs have a no-waste home. Letโs continue our Thanksgiving celebration by using our leftovers like champs! Here are 50 leftover Thanksgiving recipes for you to enjoy until all them leftovers have done been used up!

Thanks so much for including my Cheesy Leftover Mashed Potato Pancakes recipe! What amazing company to be in!
I’ve put off looking at this because I wasn’t home for Thanksgiving and therefore I have no leftovers! ๐ But I’m getting ready to make a Thanksgiving dinner when my hubby comes home next week so I just looked at this now. Thanks for including my Grandma’s Thanksgiving filling! Can’t wait to try some of these out after we finally have our feast! ๐
Oh my LAWD! I want to get back in the kitchen and make extras just so I have enough leftovers to tackle this list appropriately! I should’ve known that sandwich was from Closet Cooking…I swear Kevin is the KING of sandwichporn! Lol
And I most definitely absconded with the turkey carcass from my parent’s house on Friday night! Muahaha!
Genius!
My thought this morning, as I lazily sipped my coffee, was “what the hell am I going to do with that giant bird sitting in the fridge?” I figured I would check in with Julia, and Viola!! Fifty nifty things to do with said bird. I love it!
Ohhhhh Beeeeeeeeen. You get on wich yo wild self and do some funky fresh things with that turkey! Let me know how it turns out!
You mean, not everyone can eat turkey sammiches for 14 days straight?? Im shocked!
Haha! You just reminded me of the episode of Friends where Ross brings a leftover turkey sammie to work and gets all flared up when one of his co-workers eats it, because it has the gravey-soaked piece of bread in the middle. Ohhhhh mylanta!
I absolutely can’t stand to waste food. Growing up, my mom’s famous saying to us kids was, “Wasters go to hell!” So, you know, going to hell for throwing away leftover cranberry sauce doesn’t sound to good to me. Thank you for including my recipe!
I think I love your mom a lot. My mom always said, “there are starving children in Africa” which made absolutely no sense to me for YEARS! I’m about to make some sort of cranberry concoction, myself and am definitely inspired by that bread of yours!
thanks for all of the leftover recipes. They all sound delicious!!! Have a great rest of your weekend.
What a great looking round-up, thanks for including me!
That cranberry sauce + pear panini is happening right now!
My mom is making us wait until tonight to use up the leftovers for dinner (TORTURE) and now my tummy is growling even more for them! Fab roundup, m’dear.
I’m totally with you on repurposing leftovers! Awesome round up. The second we finished carving all the meat off the turkey, it was stock-making time!
Same with us ๐ We have soup cooking on the stove right now! Have a great weekend, lady.
