One Pan 30-Minute Sausage and Peppers is a quick, easy, delicious dinner recipe that you can throw together any night of the week! While this recipe is crazy easy, it has so much flavor that it comes off as fancy when it is anything but!

30-Minute Sausage and Peppers - quite possibly the easiest meal you'll ever make! Italian sausage, onions, bell peppers, and dried herbs make this simple meal absolutely incredible.

Italian sausage and peppers may just be one of the simplest BIG flavor meals one could possibly make!

Requiring few ingredients, hardly any prep, and with so much versatility, this easy sausage and peppers recipe will become a household favorite.

All you need is a sheet pan or a skillet in order to cook it! I prefer the sheet pan method because it is lower fuss and you end up with an amazing crust on the sausage, but I have included instructions for preparing it in a skillet as well.

Serve it as is, serve it with side dishes, make a wrap or sandwich out of it…ooh! Why not make a quesadilla out of it?! Endless options for consumption here!

Letโ€™s chat about the ingredients!

Easy Sheet Pan Sausage and Peppers - a quick and easy dinner recipe requiring few ingredients and 30 minutes or less!

30-Minute Sausage and Peppers Ingredients:

Italian Sausage: Italian sausage makes for such an amazingly flavorful dinner! Use your favorite brand of pre-cooked Italian sausage.

The reason why you want to use pre-cooked for this recipe is so that it slices nicely and doesnโ€™t fall apart. Fresh (uncooked) sausage will be more difficult to slice, whereas cooked sausage is so simple to just chop right up and toss on the baking sheet.

I use chicken Italian sausage, but any variety will work! I buy sausage with no added sugar, nitrates or nitrites, which I find leaves me feeling great!

Onions & Peppers: Real flavor makers here! These vibrant, delicious veggies add so much spunk (and nutrients) to the meal.

Seasonings: Dried parsley, dried oregano, and sea salt. While these ingredients arenโ€™t mandatory, they level up the flavor of the meal even more with that herby richness. Sea salt brings out all the flavors in the meal, so simply salt to taste!

Avocado Oil: For fat content (flavor) and protection from heat! Avocado oil ensures the ingredients donโ€™t burn while baking in the oven (or cooking on the stove top), and also adds subtle flavor to the meal.

You can use your favorite high temperature cooking oil in place of avocado oil if youโ€™d like. I just donโ€™t recommend using extra virgin olive oil, as it burns easily and weโ€™re baking at a high temperature

How to Make Sheet Pan Sausage and Peppers:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Chop all of the ingredients and transfer them to a large baking sheet.

Chopped onions and peppers on a cutting board

Drizzle with avocado oil and sprinkle with dried parsley, oregano and sea salt. Use your hands to toss everything together until everything is well-coated in oil and seasoning. Spread the ingredients evenly over the baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until peppers reach desired level of doneness and sausage has a nice crisp on it.

Note: For crispy sausage, place the baking sheet on the shelf thatโ€™s second to the bottom – this will ensure the bottoms of the sausage and peppers get a nice golden-brown crisp.

What to Serve with Sausage and Peppers:

If youโ€™d like additional side dishes to go with the sausage and peppers, here are some ideas.

Can I Make Sausage and Peppers in a Skillet?:

Absolutely! If you prefer cooking on the stove top over cooking in the oven, the process is simple.

Add the avocado oil to a large skillet (Iโ€™d recommend cast iron so you can get a nice flavorful sear on the sausage and peppers) and heat over medium-high.

Add the chopped sausage and peppers and stir well. Allow the sausage and peppers to sit undisturbed for a few minutes, until they begin to turn golden-brown.

Stir well and add the dried parsley, oregano, and sea salt. Again, allow the ingredients to sit for a few minutes until they get some additional color. Continue this process until peppers reach desired level of done-ness, about 10 to 15 minutes total.

Serve with your choice of side dishes and enjoy!
